Meet Our Coach

 

The founder of chess without stress and US chess federation rated expert chess player who has been playing chess for more than 30 years. At the age of 7, she began learning chess from her grandfather but when her parents saw her growing interest in the game. They enrolled her in the professional chess classes and her chess journey began. Since then she has participated in many chess tournaments both in India and in the United States and has been awarded many accolades.

 

She always wanted to be a professor, a mentor like her mother. She earned 3 Master’s degrees: in Physics, Éducation, and Philosophy. She worked as an assistant professor in Education colleges but finally decided to combine her two passions: one for teaching and the other for chess. She started teaching chess in many schools in the United States as after school program instructor, and summer program/ camp instructor and also served as a visiting coach in many elite schools. She worked with multiple reputed chess organizations like Bay Area Chess, Chess Wizards, Mass chess, and many more. She is teaching chess for more than 12 years and taught thousands of students (including a few adults)all over North America. Her son is also an active USCF 1400-rated chess player. Not only that, she is a certified, licensed USCF ( United States Chess Federation) tournament director who actively organized the chess tournaments to give more opportunities to her students. Her passion for teaching and chess can be clearly seen in her teaching style which justifies the name here: Chess without Stress.
